MANIPULATORS!

You might have come across such people in your life who have lied to you one way or another and when you caught them red-handed; they started making excuses rather than accepting their own fault. Such people are called manipulators. They are those people who are experts in playing mind games.

They will do something to hurt you KNOWINGLY and when you express how you feel about it, they’ll turn the situation around, make you feel guilty, and end up justifying their actions.

You need to understand telling lie to someone who trusted you the most can never be a compulsion for the one who is honest with you. Always remember lying can be a mistake but only for ONCE. More than that, it cannot be considered a mistake but THE CHOICE.

Sadly, you trust them more than you trust yourself. Manipulators have difficulty accepting responsibility for their behavior and it is always about what everyone else had done to them. If you call them on their behaviors, they’ll find a way to turn it around to make you feel bad or guilty.

One minute you’re trying to talk to them about something they did wrong, and the next minute you somehow find yourself apologizing.  Even if you know they’re lying or gaslighting, confronting them will never result in the outcome you want. It’s highly unlikely that a manipulator will suddenly admit their behavior. By trying to correct them you’re engaging with them, and engaging with them just creates more and more anxiety, stress, and drama. It’s a battle you’ll just never win.

Manipulative people can be found anywhere – among your friends, your colleagues, or even among the people you date. If you can, it’s best to cut highly manipulative people out of your life and ignore them. Sometimes, however, this isn’t possible, particularly if they’re a colleague. In that case, it’s best to minimize your contact with them unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Have you ever come across such people in your life?  Comment below!!
